Some Notes on Usage

The forum is intended for general discussions on academic translation, comments and questions, and so forth. For specific requests or offers please use the groups. If you are for example looking for someone to translate a paper from German to English, post your request to the German -> English-group. If there is no group for the language you need translation from, create a new one. Also, if you are a translator and there are no groups for the languages you are offering translation from/to, feel free to create a new group.

For the sake of clarity, I would recommend to name any new groups accordingly, i.e. Source Language -> Target Language or Proofreading: Target Language.

Please consider reading the introductory post to "Translating Anthropology".

If you join a group, you will be notified via e-mail if there are any new posts or requests. So if you translate from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, you might want to join the groups English -> Spanish, Spanish -> English to automatically receive updates about new requests or offers in these categories.

I also added two featured groups – researchers and translators – to simplify the search for translators.
